Angelina opened her kitchen in 1988 to a glorious welcome. The maternal grandmother of Angelina co-founder, Angelina quickly came to represent the "everyman's" grandmother regardless of culture, heritage or past. After all, who doesn't have a special memory of dinner and family in Nonna's kitchen.
A Chicago culinary staple since 1988, Angelina quickly became a local favorite amongst generations of guests. Celebrating her fourth decade, Angelina continues to prepare some of the most thoughtful and Nonna-like experiences in the city. To say an evening at Angelina is just another night out is akin to saying Harry Carrey was just another announcer.
We at Angelina believe that the enjoyment of everyday life is an important part of Italian values. Food is, of course, one of the things that Italians enjoy most, but the mere consumption of food is not the only point. Angelina possesses a familiarity in both the atmosphere and food with a full bar where we specialize in fresh pasta, seafood and daily specials all with a lively and attentive staff... and just the right amount of "wow, I love this place".
